We want to answer all the questions you might have about working with Lighthouse Craftsman on a home renovation project. Please look at some of the most common questions and then give us a call or email us about the rest. We look forward to learning about your project.
Is your estimate free?
We will gladly discuss your project with you and visit your project site. Once we have the basic details, we can give you a FREE educated estimate and timeframe in most cases. Once you decide to move forward with the project, we will do an in-depth project plan, reach out to subcontractors, get specific quotes on materials and more.
What is your service area?
Because the concept of community is so important to use, we really focus our work on Frederick County, MD and downtown Frederick. Occassionally, we take a project outside of the county, but we find our homeowners and our team members are happier and when stick closer to home.
How messy will this get?
We realize this is your home and most likely you are trying to live in it during the project. Renovation projects are messy by nature, but we’ll work to minimize the mess and keep your home as liveable and functional as possible.
How soon can you start?
How soon we can get started depends on a number of factors, including other projects to which we’ve already committed. We want the opportunity to work with you, so contact us to see what our timeframes look like.
Can you handle my project?
We do renovations for kitchens, baths, living spaces, garages, mudrooms, offices, basements, additions, decks and more. If we didn’t mention your project specifically, email us to see if it’s something we can take on. We love a challenge!
What is your process like?
We’ve tried to outline the general process here, but our process will be slightly different depending on the specific project. Give us a call to discuss your specifics.
How long will the project take?
When we have some details about your project and give you a preliminary estimate, we also give you a timeline of how long your project will likely take. Obviously, the timeframe varies greatly depending on the size of the project.
Can we trust your workers in our house?
Trust is a big deal at Lighthouse Craftsman. Our core team is smart, skilled and worthy of your trust. We vet every one of our subcontractors as well and train our crews to act with professionalism in your home – no inappropriate language.
How about licensing and insurance?
Lighthouse Craftsman is licensed in both Maryland (MHIC# 94886) and Pennsylvania (PAHIC# PA136705). We are also fully insured.
